Over the years I teached myself amazingly much about programming as well as
image editing and 3D-modelling. Creating an own homepage, present my achievements
and deepen my knowledge in the web area, appeared to be a logical step to me.
To deeply familiarize myself with AJAX and learn the quirks of different browsers,
I decided to waive using any prefactured packages or libraries.
Meaning that this whole website is completely done by myself, including all the graphics!
Except the referenced BotF-Wiki, and when explictly marked different, of course.
Considering that this page isn't "clicked together", and that I also eperimented alot in the web area,
I think I achieved quite a handsome website!
Special account in programming I set on keeping all the content referencable via the address line,
and, by developing an own plugin system, also on creating a well flexible design for the site's structure.
Visual effects for now I mostly dropped. To allow free adjustments to the menu colors,
and to lower server demand a bit, I further used lots of CSS instead of creating graphics.
Additionally I developed an extended BBCode for writing the articles.
It gets parsed by the browser, so that it also could be used to write the texts directly
within the webpage and show changes during typing.
Moreover, as a little gimmick I developed a little navigator that is adapted as a plugin,
just like the whole design is.
It replaces the context menu and can be activated by the right mouse button.
I hope my homepage gets well received and am happy on
feedback.
